My Inner Dialogue:
Reads text message.
Interprets to mean something entirely different than it probably does.
"What the FUCK?!"
Questions foundations of relationship.
Questions sexual abilities.
Re-reads text message.
Goes through all possible between-the-lines meanings of the phrases:
"You're definitely good at THAT"
"I'll let you know how it goes."
"lol"
and
"..."
Compares self to friends, ex-girlfriends, fictional characters, self at an earlier age, etc.
Laughs in such a way as to convey to anyone listening that self couldn't care LESS.
Waits an equal amount of time to reply as it took him.
Chastises self for playing stupid games.
Uses said waiting period to think up best possible response, which will display nonchalance and light-hearted affection/carefree, happy-go-lucky attitude.
